ALEXANDRIA, VA: Hilton Old Town

In the process of relocating to the Washington, DC area, I have used the Hilton Old Town as my "home away from home" for probably 20 of the past 40 nights.

I've tried other places and none match the excellent staff and accommodations of the Hilton.

It is directly across the street from the King Street Metro Station (a plus if you're heading into DC), on King Street (which is the heart of Old Town), making it a great base of operations. Even if you are not inclined to venture out, the hotel has much to offer. The bar and restaurant are very convivial, the staff treats their guests as if they're truly glad they're there, and the price is competitive with other, similarly situated hotels.

I definitely recommend the Hilton Old Town.
