Brussels Airport (BRU) will remain closed through the weekend in the wake of Tuesday’s bombing attacks on the airport as well as the Maelbeek metro station.
“Following these attacks, there will be no passenger flights into and out of Brussels Airport [through] Sunday 27 March,” according to a statement on the airport’s website early Friday morning.
“Because the forensic investigation is still underway, we currently have no access to the building. Until we can assess the damage, it remains unclear when we can resume operations,” the statement continued.
Passengers scheduled to fly from Brussels Airport during the closure period are advised to contact their airline for further instructions.
