A deal that had been rumored for several months, if not years, has finally been consummated with Hilton Hotels & Resorts taking over the 355-room Radisson Aruba and reflagging the property the
Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino.
“As one of the most revisited destinations in the region, this opening marks an important milestone as we continue to expand our global presence and deliver on our commitment to providing diverse experiences for our guests,” Rob Palleschi, global head of full service brands for Hilton Worldwide, said in a statement announcing the acquisition.
Located at J.E. Irausquin Blvd. 81, the property boasts what the chain calls "a 15 acre beachfront oasis," in Palm Beach, Aruba, less than 10 miles from the capital city of Oranjestad.
The Hilton Worldwide (NYSE:HLT) news release announcing the acquisition refers to "the opening of Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino."
According to a Hilton spokesperson, the first availability is August 9.
"Now through then, the hotel is open and experiencing high occupancy," the spokesperson told TheTravelPro in an email. "We do not have renovations planned during this time period."
