The transformation included a total redesign of the lobby, public and recreation areas, room upgrades, reconfigured meeting area, and revamped restaurant and bar concepts.

“As the only upscale, full-service hotel serving Largo, and offering convenient access to key businesses and tourist destinations in the capital region, DoubleTree by Hilton Largo – Washington D.C. is a tremendous addition to our rapidly expanding global portfolio," John Greenleaf, global head of DoubleTree by Hilton, said in a statement announcing the property’s debut. “We are eager to welcome guests to our newest hotel, and deliver the award-winning service culture for which our brand is known globally.”

The redesigned six-story hotel features a modern style that includes a spacious, open lobby and contemporary design updates to the hotel’s public areas and guest rooms. The color scheme includes soft earth tones throughout the hotel’s 184 guest rooms, which feature modern updates and panoramic views of the Largo landscape.

Each guest room is equipped with an in-room safe, microwave and mini refrigerator, free Wi-Fi, an assortment of gourmet in-room tea and coffee choices from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®, and amenities from the Aroma Actives natural skin and body care line.

Guests will also have free access to an updated heated indoor pool, 24-hour fitness center and 24-hour business center.

New food and beverage offerings include the XC Bar and Bistro, an all-day dining restaurant located on the lobby level that features marble floors, a vibrant bar area and outdoor patio complete with fire pit. Signature dishes, including Maryland-style crab cakes and roasted salmon filet, celebrate the region’s local fare. The hotel also offers room service and a 24-hour Pavilion Pantry Market.

Finally, the property has 2,500 square feet of flexible meeting space that can accommodate conferences and receptions up to 175 persons.

The hotel is located just off the I-495 Beltway next to Woodmore Town Center near the University of Maryland. FedEx Field, home of the Washington Redskins, is less than a mile away. Other attractions including the White House and the District’s many monuments and museums are a short drive or Metro ride away.

The property is about 1.5 miles from the Largo Town Center Metrorail station, which is the end of the Blue and Silver Metro lines. Complimentary shuttle service is offered within a four-mile radius of the property and includes stops at the Largo Town Center as well as the New Carrollton Metro stations, making it particularly convenient for visitors arriving at Washington Reagan National Airport (DCA), which is served by the Blue and Yellow Metro lines.

The property's location off I-495 also makes it easy to reach by car for those arriving at Baltimore-Washington Airport (BWI), which is 26 miles away, and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), which is 43 miles away.

DoubleTree by Hilton is a global collection of more than 415 hotels in gateway cities, metropolitan areas and vacation destinations across six continents. It is a member of the Hilton Worldwide (NYSE:HLT) family of hotel chains and properties.
