Three days to get two-for-one airfare between NYC and Milan

From now through March 26, Emirates is offering two-for-one special fares for flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Milan’s Malpensa Airport (MXP).

The special fares are being offered to mark the addition of the Airbus A380, the world’s largest passenger jet, to the route effective June 1. Customers can book travel for two from $1,380 for Economy Class and $3,800 in Business Class for travel from June 7 to August 22.

“This limited-time offer will allow customers to experience our flagship product across the Atlantic for a very special fare,” Matthias Schmid, Emirates’ Vice President Sales USA, said in a statement announcing the fare special. He also noted that Emirates’ codeshare agreement with JetBlue allows passengers flying from the West Coast to book a single ticket on Emirates.com and connect seamlessly through JFK to Milan.

In addition to the special fares, travelers can seamlessly book train tickets online to some of the most popular destinations in Italy, including Rome and Venice, with Emirates’ Italian national rail partner, Trenitalia. Once passengers book online flights from New York to Milan with this special offer, they are able to take advantage of special rail connections at the time of their airfare booking. This allows connections to over 700 stations across Italy, including Florence, Naples and Bologna.

The A380 is the world’s largest passenger aircraft. In Emirates’ configuration, the aircraft seats 489 passengers, including 14 First Class Private Suites, 76 Business Class lie-flat beds and 399 spacious Economy Class seats. A walk-through of the aircraft using Google’s Street View is available here. It takes a few seconds to load but is well worth the wait.

While all Emirates passengers are provided gourmet regionally inspired dishes, complimentary wines, dedicated children’s menus and activities, and ice, the airline’s award winning entertainment system offering more than 2,000 channels of on-demand entertainment at every seat, the airline has won special accolades for its upmarket offerings.

Emirates’ First Class and Business Class cabins have earned some of the most prestigious recognitions in the aviation industry – including Saveur Magazine’s Culinary Travel Award for Best In-Flight Dining in 2013 and 2014.

First Class passengers travel in private suites and can refresh in the A380’s two shower spas while in flight. Those passengers can access Emirates onboard lounge and socialize over fine wines, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres prepared by five-star chefs. They also have access to a complimentary chauffeur-driven car for travel to and from the airports. Finally, Emirates is the only carrier on the JFK to MXP route to offer a direct First Class service.
