Interruptions to Newark Airport AirTrain service

The AirTrain at Newark's Liberty International Airport (EWR) is currently operating on a limited schedule and will be shut down completely for three months beginning May 1 for some much-needed repairs.

AirTrain Newark's P1 & P2 Stations closed April 15 to prepare for the service suspension that will begin May 1. Free shuttle buses are available to transport customers to and from P3 Station.

During the complete service suspension, which will extend from May 1 to July 31, The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey will continue to provide free shuttle bus service that will provide an alternate mode of transportation between the airport's terminals, as well as to and from remote rental car locations.

Travelers are advised to allow extra time for possible delays when planning travel through EWR.
