Alaska Airlines has announced that it will raise its fees for checked baggage for tickets purchased on or after Oct.30, bringing the Seattle-based carrier in line with most other major carriers.
Currently, Alaska charges $20 per bag for the first the checked bags, while most other carriers charge $25. After October, the carrier will charge $25 for the first two bags, and $75 for each additional checked bag.
Alaska is also increasing certain charges for changing tickets. Read more here.
