ST. PAUL, MN: Wonderful Westin

I've always enjoyed staying at Westin hotels, so when I had to make a trip to my company's St. Paul office, I naturally checked to see if any Westins offered a rate my bean-counters would accept.

Fortunately, there was one in Edina, a suburb of Minneapolis, and the AAA Rate of $107 a night was well within the budget.

As you may be aware, Westins are known for their Heavenly Bed and Heavenly Bath with Heavenly Shower. While I don't want to belabor the point, suffice to say they were all "as advertised."

The Westin Edina Galleria is, predictably, next to the Galleria, a mall of high-end shops (which I did not visit) and adjoins a McCormick & Schmick's (which I did visit for dinner). The property was convenient and comfortable, its people were great, and the rate was favorable. Can't get much better than that!
