During my recent trips to Europe, I was struck by both the amount and quality of graffiti.
In the U.S., what passes for graffiti is more accurately described as "tagging" -- painting a name or gang sign -- anywhere there's a blank area on a building, bridge, delivery truck, wherever.
In many of the European countries I visited earlier this year, the graffiti was much more artistic than what is seen in the states as these examples show. Maybe some day I'll return and do a more in-depth photo study of this street art; for now, though, enjoy these samples.
