With apologies to the Beach Boys, wouldn't it be nice if the airlines all got on the same page regarding check-in times?
The airlines advise you to check in at least two hours before flight time for international flights so, as I'm going from the Netherlands to England ("international"), that's what I did. Zipped right through check-in and passport control, so now I'm cooling my heels.
Earlier this year, my wife and I checked in at Zurich's airport two hours early ... and nearly missed our flight. The process took far longer than it should have.
So please forgive the rant; it's just that I'd rather have slept an extra hour or so than spend it hanging around Amsterdam's Schiphol airport.
