On a recent trip to the office in St. Paul, I rented a vehicle from Hertz. While it looks OK on the outside, if a little too much on the "economy" side, this vehicle (too small to really call a "car") was in serious need of maintenance.
As the photo shows, there were some huge stains on the back seat. I was alone in the car, so no one has to sit back there, but still...
And the car, with nearly 30,000 miles on it, had a badly scraped rear bumper and some sort of wire hanging down below the driver's side tail light.
It got me where I needed to go and the company was paying for it, but I generally rent from Hertz because I want to be assured that I'll get a clean, well-maintained vehicle.
Unfortunately, that's not what I got.
